The Duke East Asia Nexus is a member publication authorized by the Duke University Undergraduate Publications Board and as such follows its proscribed rules on publication ownership.
All works become the intellectual property of the Duke East Asia Nexus upon their submission, and it reserves the right to modify, withhold, and publish as seen fit by the Editorial Board; but rights may revert to authors upon request.

Many images/art used in material copyrighted by Duke East Asia Nexus are controlled, not by the Press, but by the owner of the image. Please check the credit line adjacent to the illustration, on our online webpage as well as the front and back matter of the book for a list of credits. You must obtain permission directly from the owner of the image.
Occasionally, the Duke East Asia Nexus controls the rights to maps or other images and icons. Please direct permission requests for these images to our email email@example.com
